Blog Content Ideas -16 Best Places to Find Them

Where to find blog content ideas.

I know several people who have actually put off starting a blog because they weren't sure where to find blog content ideas.

Content ideas are all around us…they are literally everywhere!

Find blog content ideas from books

Whenever you read a book, take an idea or two from it and do a blog post about it. Give your thoughts and ideas on it in your own words and in the way you understand it.

Just a reminder here about copying.  You never want to copy someone else's work; if you do, then you need to give proper credit to the them, and even link back to their content.  They will more than likely appreciate it.

Find blog content ideas from your competitors

What are your competitors writing about?  Again, you don't want to copy them, but maybe you see a different perspective to what they were writing about.  You may have some new ideas around it.  Again, it never hurts to link back to them and say where you got your blog content ideas from.

People like real and they like honesty, so give it to them.

Find blog content ideas from other blogs

It may not even have to be in your niche.  If you can find an article on something totally different than what you're niche is, and create a new analogy out of, some people might find it easier to relate to.

Example:  you read an article about dating and how it's better to go slow and get to know the person before moving forward.  You can relate that to your business and show how when you meet someone you don't automaticlly send them a link to your product or company.

You take some time and build a relationship with them, just like dating.

Find blog content ideas from questions people ask you

How often does someone ask you a question, and the next day someone else asks you the same question.

Why not do a video about it and when the next person asks the same question, direct them to that video.

It saves your time and it helps more people, and it positions you as the leader.

Find blog content ideas from your Google analytics

Watching your Google analytics can teach you so much about who is reading what on your blog.

You can find the blog posts that are getting the most attention and repurpose content to get even more attention to it.

Find blog content ideas from conversations

Strike up conversations with people while waiting in a check out line in stores.  You'd be amazed at what blog content ideas you come up with.

Find blog content ideas from webinars

How many of you sit through a training webinar and take pages and pages of notes?

All of your notes are blog content ideas.  And according to Ray Higdon, they are all uncashed checks.

Take one or two of the points made, create a post or video and explain what you've learned in your own words.

Other places to find blog content ideas

Forums, Quora, Facebook and LinkedIn groups, surveys, podcasts, Google Alerts, keyword research, conference calls, email lists that you're on, life experiences…the list goes on and on.

PS:  If you'd like to learn more about how to blog, or set one up the proper way,
I highly recommend Ray Higdon's 3Minute Expert

I don't recommend things unless I've used them or know the integrity of who created it.

Trust me…it's good.

As soon as I started implemented what he was teaching, I started getting results.

You can't ask for more than that.
